Bertucci's Restaurant & Lounge
Bertucci's Restaurant & Lounge
On the corner of a non-descript residential Chinatown back street, Bertucci's Restaurant & Lounge remains a relic from a once bustling ethnic Italian enclave. established in 1933 and Often described as "old school," this cozy family-style Italian restaurant maintains a loyal, citywide following and a reliable group of regulars who sit at the bar, drink, carouse, and watch television. The food is dished out in generous portions on checkered tablecloths in much the same way it was served in this very same spot during the Great Depression, and the occasionally oversauced patrons will venture to dance either to live music or to the sounds emitted from the juke box, still loaded with hits from days past.
