adler school of professional psychology

named for famous viennese doctor and psychotherapist alfred adler, the adler school of professional psychology is the oldest independent school of psychology in north america.  located at 17 north dearborn street in the very heart of the chicago loop, the adler school offers a doctoral program in clinical psychology and several masters programs in behavioral sciences and services.  students travel from all over the world to study in a collaborative atmosphere among accomplished faculty who are leaders in their field.

until recently the loop consisted almost exclusively of office buildings, but the state street revival is now in full swing, and millennium park, particularly in the summer, is drawing a sea of humanity for recreation, dining, and entertainment.  new construction condominium towers now grace the skyline along michigan avenue, and condominium conversions deeper inside the loop have attracted a growing number of residents to the heart of the city's commercial center.  the art institute of chicago, already the second largest art museum in the country, recently grew even bigger with the opening of the modern wing, and the jay pritzker pavillion across the street is an outdoor concert venue of staggering beauty, thanks to the architectural talents of frank gehry.  just a block away, macy's, loehmann's, and old navy are among the growing number of retailers setting up shop in the neighborhood.
