Noble Square
Noble Square has a charm all its own. With great theaters, easy access to the Loop, and a wide variety of restaurants, it's a fashionable pocket in West Town.
There's actually no such place as Noble Square. Sure, Noble Street runs through the neighborhood, but the "square" part comes from Eckhart Park, a centering point for the community. The diverse population includes a handsome contingent of young artists and professionals. While much of the housing was built before 1910, renters can find many renovated Noble Square apartments and newer complexes, too. There are entertainment options aplenty, like the Polish Museum of America, Adventure Stage Theater (for the kids), and House Theater (for the grown-ups). Nightlife is laid back, so for more upbeat scenes, there's always nearby Wicker Park. Restaurants of all kinds and family-owned eateries are scattered throughout.
Commuting is a breeze in Noble Square. Two blue line el stops (Division and Chicago) and buses service the area. Plus, the Kennedy Expressway is practically the front yard, which isn't a bad thing. It's just convenient.
