The John Marshall Law School

the john marshall law school is located in the heart of the loop, directly across the street from the dirksen federal building, which houses both the u.s. court of appeals for the seventh circuit and the u.s. district court for the northern district of illinois.  from there, it's only four blocks to the the circuit court of cook county and five blocks to the illinois appellate court.  no law school in the city offers better access to the local judiciary or the vast totality of chicago's private legal practitioners.

in recent years, many high-rise condominium and apartment buildings have been developed, converted, or adapted for reuse in the loop, and the neighborhood, once a canyon of office buildings that went dark at the close of business, is more accommodating than ever to residential activity.  downtown city dwellers now enjoy plenty of grocery, restaurant, and convenience store options, over and above close proximity to the national retailers and department stores that thrive along state street.  loop residents also live within blocks of grant park, lake michigan, soldier field, museum campus, the magnificent mile, and navy pier.  apartments range from the moderately-priced to the ultra-luxurious.

millennium park, particularly in the summer, draws a sea of humanity for recreation, dining, and entertainment.  what's more, every line of the el makes multiple stops in the loop, so access to anything else in chicago is a cinch.
