Lake Forest Apartment Living

Neighborhood Vibe
Lake Forest is an affluent neighborhood that takes care of its own. There is a quiet downtown area with lots of local shops and lots and lots of parks. The lakefront is easily accessible, offering the perfect outdoor activity during the hot summer.

Heart of the Neighborhood
The heart of Lake Forest is the Citadel Theatre. Not only does the Citadel Theatre produce compelling and rich work in the form of plays, but it also brings together professionals to ensure that work is the best it can be. The Citadel Theatre is the perfect place for anyone passionate about theater: directors, actors, set designers, writers, and audience members who want to enjoy an excellent and stimulating piece of art that celebrates life.

What We Love Most
Lake Forest is known for its history. It was settled during the Civil War and designed with its residents' privacy in mind. The downtown shopping area, Market Square, is on the National Register Of Historic Places as "America's first planned shopping center." You can also find Lake Forest College and the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management in this Chicago suburb.

Best Way to Get Around
Lake Forest is located about 33 miles north of downtown Chicago. The most convenient way to get around is by car. Residents can get to Chicago via the I-94 or the I-294 to I-90. Commuters who want to get out of traffic can take one of two Metra lines: The Union Pacific North line, which takes you to Ogilvie Transportation Center, or the Milwaukee District North line, which takes you to Union Station.
