What you Should Know

Unique Features

The first thing to know - and what I love most about this big, well-maintained vintage house is that it's completely one-of-a-kind and in spectacular shape. The outdoor area is TO DIE FOR - I spent every waking minute out there this summer and would do it again in a heartbeat. Big deck, yard, garden - it's got it all. It's unbelievably well-kept - a vintage rarity. The neighbors are awesome - it's definitely a community vibe. Free laundry, garage parking.

Interior Highlights

The hardwood floors are insanely cool and original. We repainted the entire thing, so it's super new and fresh. The layout is unique - the living room is gorgeous and looks out to the street; the sunroom is a great place to work or work out. The entire apartment gets great natural light at any time of day. There's a bunch of storage - a huge walk-in closet with lots of shelf storage above, plus another closet that we easily fit a dresser and all our coats into.

Best Things About the Building

The neighbors are great, the building is extremely well-kept, and it's just a spectacular vintage house. Tons of storage, tons of character, tons of charm. Stunning street, quiet, yet close to absolutely everything. It's hard to choose the best thing because there are so many. And there's garage parking available for just $150/month more - way less than other spots in the neighborhood.

Best Things About the Neighborhood

What's not to like? 3 minute walk from the brown line, 7 to the red. A block from Southport, with Starbucks, Jeni's, Corridor Brewing, Southport Grocery, Foxtrot. We know the people at Crosby's and Tuco & Blondie because we go so much. Less than 10 minute walk to Jewel and Whole Foods. We walk to Roscoe Village, Wrigleyville, Lakeview, and Lincoln Park from here every weekend. 20 minutes to the lakefront. Seriously, this is the best spot in Chicago.

Why it's Worthy of Calling Home

I’ve lived in a lot of apartments in my life. None of them come close to this vintage diamond in the rough. It's in my favorite neighborhood, it's a stunning old house that feels new because of the smart updates throughout the years, fresh paint, and incredible flooring. I cannot say this enough: the backyard and deck are absolutely amazing. And having garage parking around here is really handy. If my fiancée and I hadn't found a place we wanted to buy faster than expected, we'd never leave.
