kendall college

situated at the southern tip of chicago’s goose island, kendall college is renowned for its culinary arts program, but also offers excellent business, hotel management, and education curricula.  collectively, some 2,000 students are enrolled in its four schools. its recently renovated campus, located near the heart of downtown chicago, is a reclaimed, 100-year-old factory building, most recently occupied by a sara lee research facility.  the school is minutes from some of the country’s best restaurants, hotels, and business enterprises, which provides students with prime access to top-flight internships. 

as for the goose island neighborhood, well, no one actually lives on the island. it's just a collection of industrial facilities in a crazy patchwork of old streets.  but it's walking distance to a ton of great stuff.  the adjacent neighborhoods are replete with all manner of apartment options, including vintage lofts, high-rise condominium towers, and single family homes, from modest to luxury.
