Description

Great for student or professional who wants easy public transit access on the Red Line. Bright (2nd floor, sun from both north and south), large (biggest 1-bedroom layout in the complex), and affordable 1-bedroom condo available January 1. Original floors, walls, and molding (not gutted) with newer windows, electrical, kitchen, bathroom, decks, roof, etc. when renovated in 2004. BIG bedroom with enough space for double bed, bookshelves, dressers, and a desk. Living/dining room combo big enough for seating area and dining area (or more work or sleeping space) as well as dinner parties up to 22 (my record - tight, but fun!). Separate kitchen, deck with room for eating and plants and eating plants, 2 closets with storage above, and more storage plus laundry and bike racks in the basement. AWESOME courtyard, awesome community that voluntarily takes care of the courtyard (just the plantings; a service does the mowing, snow removal, and maintenance) and pitches in for amenities like lanterns and planters in the courtyard and hosts BBQs in the courtyard - see a theme here?!? Great community among the decks in back, too, where it's a summer-long BBQ, making for extra friendliness and familiarity. Pet friendly and a great dog community (4 of 6 in my tier have dogs). AMAZING location on Racine so you avoid the noise of Broadway, Lawrence, and the Red Line but are within a block of all three. 15 min. to Loyola or DePaul on the Red Line. 20 min. Northwestern (downtown) and 30 min. to Roosevelt on the Red Line, and 30 min. to Northwestern (Evanston) on the Red and Purple Lines. 50 minutes to U of Chicago (I did this commute for 3 years) on the Red Line and an express bus. New restaurants line Broadway north and south of Lawrence. Sound like you? Then email to arrange for a showing. Thanks! PS - the furnishings that you see in the photos are gone; the unit is rented unfurnished. It has also been repainted - no longer as colorful!
