I would describe the neighborhood as a safe, cool community, diverse, whimsical, laid back, family-friendly, charming, independent, and one of Chicago's true gems (my wife and I loved living here!). Many staple restaurants and shops here have served the neighborhood for many years, and there are often new openings. It's also very walkable. Christmas time is magical with Lincoln at night. Square Roots festival and other street fests year round make it endless fun for single adults and families alike. It is really easy to fall in love with this place.
