Thank you for visiting Domu.com (the "Website") and using the Domu mobile application (the "App" and together with the Website, the "Platform"), operated by Domu Apartments, LLC ("Domu," "Us", or "We"). We appreciate that you trust us as a partner in your search for a new place to call home, if you are renter, or in your search for a tenant, if you are a landlord. We value your privacy. Please read this Privacy Statement to understand the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide the Website or App and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information, and your rights over that information and your ability to selectively opt out.
This Privacy Statement applies to information we collect:
- On this Website and App.
- In email, text, push notifications, and other electronic messages between you and this Website or App.
- When you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this Privacy Statement.
- Through the Domu iOS mobile application downloaded from the Apple App Store.
This Privacy Statement does not apply to information collected by:
- Us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Domu or any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries); or

What Information Does Domu Collect From Its Users?
We collect several types of information from and about users of our Website and App, including Personal Information. "Personal Information" refers to information that identifies, relates to, describes, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular individual or device. When you use, navigate, and/or complete forms on the Website or App, we may collect Personal Information about you. The categories and types of Personal Information we may collect include:
- Name, phone number, email address, postal address, IP address.
- Browsing history, search history, information on an individual's interactions with the Site.
- Bank account number, payment card number, credit card number, debit card number, or any other financial information.

- App usage data, including saved searches, favorites, viewed listings, messages, and interactions within the App.
- Property information, including address, and photographs.
Personal Information does not include: publicly available information from government records; deidentified or aggregate information; or certain Personal Information protected by other sector-specific federal or state statutes.
How Does Domu Collect Information?
Information You Provide to Us
The information we collect on or through our Website or App may include:
- Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Website or App. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Website or App, subscribing to our service, posting material, creating a user profile within the App, or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our Website or App.
- Records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.
- Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.
- Details of transactions you carry out through our Website or App and of the fulfillment of your orders. You may be required to provide financial information before placing an order through our Website or App.

- Location Information: With your explicit consent, the App may collect precise geolocation data from your iOS device to provide location-based search results, nearby listings, and other location-relevant features. You may enable or disable location services at any time through your iOS device settings. If you disable location services, certain features of the App may not function properly.
- Push Notifications: With your consent, we may send push notifications to your iOS device to provide updates about new listings, saved search alerts, messages from landlords or property managers, and other relevant information. You may opt out of receiving push notifications at any time by adjusting the notification settings on your iOS device or within the App.
- Camera and Photo Library Access: The App may request access to your device's camera and photo library to allow you to upload photographs related to property listings or your user profile. This access is requested only when needed and can be managed through your iOS device settings.
- App Usage Analytics: We may collect information about how you interact with the App, including the features you use, the screens you view, the time and duration of your sessions, crash logs, and performance data. This information helps us improve the App's functionality and user experience.
- Local Storage: The App may store certain data locally on your device, including cached listing data, saved preferences, and authentication tokens, to improve performance and enable offline functionality.

- To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Domu's assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information held by Domu about our Website and App users is among the assets transferred.

- For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.
- With your consent.
We may also disclose your Personal Information:
- To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:
- Cookies (Website). You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this site may then be inaccessible or not function properly.
- Push Notifications (App). You may opt out of receiving push notifications from the App at any time by changing the notification settings on your iOS device (Settings > Notifications > Domu) or within the App's settings. Opting out of push notifications will not affect your ability to use other features of the App.
- Location Services (App). You may control the App's access to your device's location services through your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Domu). You may choose to allow location access "Always," "While Using the App," or "Never." Disabling location services may limit the availability of certain location-based features within the App.
- Device Permissions (App). You may manage the App's access to your device's camera, photo library, and other hardware features at any time through your iOS device settings (Settings > Domu). Revoking permissions may affect the functionality of certain features within the App.
- App Tracking (App). In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, the App will request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. You may grant or deny this permission when prompted, and you may change your preference at any time through your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
- Promotional Offers from Domu. If you do not wish to have your email address or other contact information used by Domu to promote our own or third parties' products or services, you can opt out by sending us an email stating your request to info@domu.com. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions.
Data Security
We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard encryption protocols. The App stores certain data locally on your device; you are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, including using a passcode or biometric lock.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website or App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile networks is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted to our Website or App. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website or App.
Your California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Website and App that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Website or App or on or through any of its features, register on the Website or App, make any purchases through the Website or App, use any of the interactive or public comment features of this Website or App, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, email address, or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. iOS App-Specific Terms
The following terms apply specifically to your use of the Domu iOS mobile application:
- Apple App Store Terms. Your download and use of the App is also subject to the Apple App Store Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between this Privacy Statement and the Apple App Store Terms of Service, the Apple App Store Terms of Service shall govern solely with respect to your use of the Apple App Store.
- Third-Party Services. The App may contain links to or integrate with third-party services, including but not limited to mapping services, payment processors, and analytics providers. These third-party services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. Domu is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services accessed through the App.
- Biometric Authentication. The App may offer the option to use Face ID or Touch ID for authentication purposes. Biometric data used for these features is processed and stored solely on your device by Apple's iOS and is not collected, accessed, or stored by Domu.
- Background App Refresh. The App may use iOS background app refresh functionality to update content, such as new listing alerts and saved search results. You may enable or disable background app refresh for the App through your iOS device settings (Settings > General > Background App Refresh).
- App Data Deletion. You may delete all locally stored App data by uninstalling the App from your device. To request deletion of your account and associated data stored on our servers, please contact us at info@domu.com or use the account deletion feature within the App's settings, if available. We will process such requests in accordance with applicable law.
- App Updates. We may from time to time release updates to the App through the Apple App Store. These updates may include new features, bug fixes, and security patches. We recommend that you enable automatic updates on your iOS device or regularly check for App updates to ensure you have the latest version with the most current privacy and security protections.
- Offline Functionality. Certain features of the App may be available offline using data cached locally on your device. Information you provide or actions you take while offline will be transmitted to our servers when your device reconnects to the internet.
- Apple Health and HomeKit. The App does not collect, use, or access data from Apple Health, HomeKit, or other sensitive Apple frameworks.
Changes to Our Privacy Statement
It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Privacy Statement on this page and within the App. If we make material changes to how we treat our users' Personal Information, we will notify you by email to the primary email address specified in your account and/or through a notice within the App. The date the Privacy Statement was last revised is identified at the top of the page.
