Lindy's Chili

Lindy's Chili has been dishing it out to hungry Chicagoans at 3685 South Archer Avenue in McKinley Park since 1924.  In 1974, Joe and John Yesutis purchased Lindy's Chili and Gertie's Ice Cream Company (a Chicago institution since 1901) and combined them into a single enterprise.  They franchised the business in the 1980's, but still hold the franchise rights.

Diners have the luxury of a full menu, including sandwiches and burgers of all types, although Lindy's is obviously renowned for its chili.  As of this writing, there are ten Lindy's Chili and Gertie's Ice Cream locations in the Chicagoland area.
