Neighborhood Vibe

St. Charles is a lovely suburb of Chicago right along the Fox river. It's a family friendly town with plenty to do, such as festivals, art shows, water shows, parades and much much more. The town also takes pride in its natural resources, with bike paths, walking paths and more.

Heart of the Neighborhood

Small but mighty, the St. Charles History Museum is dedicated to preserving the history that belongs to St. Charles. With more than 10,000 photographs and more than 15,000 artifacts in the St. Charles History Museum Collection, each exhibit aims to teach residents and visitors about the town. The Arcada Theater originally opened in 1926 as an elegant location for fine entertainemnt. Today, the theater maintains the same level of luxury, including its original pipe organ. With more than 900 seats, this venue is a common location for modern day stars, such as Steve Martin, to perform.

What We Love Most

Every summer, the Kane County Fairgrounds comes alive with a big local fair. From concerts to BMX shows to monster truck shows to a midway to carnival rides to food to animals and much, much more, the Kane County Fair has everything you need for a smashing good time.

Best Way to Get Around

St. Charles is located approximately 46 miles outside of downtown Chicago, directly west. Commuting from St. Charles to Chicago via car is the best option. Drivers can get on the I-88 and I-290. For those who prefer to avoid commuting by car, the Metra's Union Pacific West line goes directly to downtown Chicago's Ogilvie Transportation Center.
