Libertyville is a northwestern suburb of Chicago, located 34 miles from downtown. Having a car is the best thing for getting around town. You can use the highways to commute, either the I-94 or the I-290 and I-294. If you'd instead use public transportation, the Metra offers two train lines between Libertyville and Chicago: the North Central Service or the Milwaukee District North, which both take you to Union Station downtown.
